Friday, May 4 & Saturday, May 5

Watch the running of the 144th Kentucky Derby, as well as the full slate of weekend horse racing, in Hollywood Gaming's Simulcast Theater May 4 and 5. You'll enjoy advance wagering, reserved seats, and a special menu in the Skybox Racing Dining area.

Reserve a seat in the Simulcast Theater for $15, or a table seat for $10. You'll receive a Churchill Program for Saturday's races as part of your reservation. For reservations, call 937-235-7861. You can purchase additional programs starting at 10 a.m.


On Friday, watch and wager on the Kentucky Oaks Race, the highest paying race for 3-year-old fillies that is run every year on the day before the Kentucky Derby. The simulcast theater will open at 10 a.m. The first post-time for Churchill Downs races is 10:30 a.m.

Tellers will begin taking wagers at 10 a.m. Friday, with final wagers accepted at 11 p.m. You can place advance wagers on Saturday's races all day Friday.

You won't miss any of the action when you satisfy your hunger in the Skybox Racing Dining area. Take advantage of the Pre-Derby Day Special, available 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.


Sip on Mint Juleps, savor prime rib and marvel at the inventive hats in our hat contest when you watch the Kentucky Derby at Hollywood Gaming on Saturday, May 5.

Skybox Racing Dining will offer a prime rib station in the racing dining area from 2-8 p.m. for only $16 and offer a limited menu from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Derby Hat Contest

Win up to $100 in dining credits

Wear your finest, fanciest and most creative original hats to Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway on Derby Day and you could win up to $100 in dining credits to Skybox.

All Marquee Rewards® members are eligible to participate in the contest, which is part of our celebration of the annual running of the Kentucky Derby.

First, second and third prizes will be awarded in three categories: Most Original, Most Glamorous and Most Outrageous.

To participate in the contest, you must register in the Lower Level Racing Area between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5. Prizes will be awarded at 4:30 p.m.

Photos will be taken of all hats and contestants.


  • You must be a Marquee Rewards club member to participate. Membership is free. Sign up at Player Services.
  • Hats must be of original design. Borrowed, unoriginal or undecorated hats will not be considered for prizes.
  • Hat submissions must be appropriate for all ages.
  • All judges' decisions are final.
  • One hat submission per contestant.
  • There must be a minimum of three (3) hats registered by 4 p.m. or the contest will be cancelled.
